Rental Terms

Cancellation policy:

The renter can cancel the reservation with a charge of 25% of the total reservation.

Fuel policy:

The car must be returned with the same amount of fuel that was delivered, petrol or diesel, otherwise if it is less, 2DRIVE will cover the fuel, but charging you more than if you filled it yourself. You will also have to pay a non-refundable fuel service charge of 15 euros. In case the fuel is more than what the car should have, unfortunately the corresponding price is not returned.

Driver’s license and driver’s age:

International driver’s license is accepted. The minimum age limit is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 75 years (from 71-75 years old they are charged with an additional premium of 5 euros per day with a maximum charge of 70 euros). All of the above will apply to all additional drivers. Full insurance is mandatory for drivers aged 21-24. For an extra driver it must be declared in the rental contract in advance. Otherwise the tenant will be responsible. The second driver is free of charge on the insurance.

Late return/early return:

The car must be returned at the agreed time and location with a grace period of 1 hour. In addition, you should know that there is a late fee of €25 per day + the daily rental price. Also the vehicle insurance will not apply and the customer will be responsible for anything that happens as it will not be legally rented. There is also the option of a child seat or booster, which are given upon delivery of the car free of charge.

Traffic fines/calls:

Any fines that may occur during the rental are the responsibility of the renter.

Theft insurance:

The insurance does not cover the theft of items from within the vehicle belonging to the renter. The cost of replacing keys is also charged in case they are lost, damaged or locked inside the vehicle.

Transfer outside Crete:

It is forbidden to leave the car from Crete.

Hours of operation:

Deliveries and pick-ups of vehicles will take place from 9:00-21:00 daily. If you wish to do it outside opening hours, there is a charge of €15.

Cleaning fee:

In case the vehicle is returned and needs more than the usual cleaning you will need to pay this cost, which amounts to €15 per hour with a maximum charge of €80.

When the reservation is made online, an advance payment of 25% of the total reservation is required. In case the reservation is paid at 100%, you benefit from a discount depending on the period you rent the car.

All payments made using the card are processed through the electronic payment platform of “Nexi e-Commerce” of Nexi Payments Greece S.A. and uses TLS 1.2 encryption protocol encryption with 128-bit (Secure Sockets Layer – SSL). Encryption is a way of coding the information until it reaches its recipient, who will be able to decode it using the appropriate key.

Balance Amount
The remaining amount will be paid when you pick up the vehicle with cash or credit, debit, or prepaid cards.

Rental Conditions

1. Necessary documents: Identity card or passport

2. Driver’s license for more than 1 year (must be valid)

3. Full insurance is mandatory for ages 21-24. Diploma and credit/debit card to be in the tenant’s name.
